Cutlery
At Bayliss Mobility we have a huge range of cutlery to make dining more enjoyable, including curved cutlery and weighted cutlery. Curved cutlery is ideal for those who struggle eating or have difficulties during meal times due to weakened grip, Arthritis, limited dexterity or other similar conditions. Our curved cutlery helps encourage independent eating and improves control of the user during meal times. The result is that dining will become less of a challenge and a lot more enjoyable. The angled knife has the ability to cut food easily, the curve allows the user to use a rocking motion rather than a sawing motion. The contrasting colours are purposely incorporated in the design of this cutlery to help aid those who are visually impaired.
The curved fork and curved spoon encourages limited wrist movement and are designed so it's easy for the user to hold.
Adult Dining Bibs
Adult dining bibs are used to help protect your clothes during meal times, when crafting and even when gardening. They are great for reducing stains and damage that can be caused by spillages. These bibs are made from a waterproof backed material which helps preserve your clothing from liquid spills. Our bibs feature an optional pocket, which is designed to help catch food or spillages if dropped. We also offer a crumb catcher bib which will protect your clothes from spillages whilst eating and drinking. You can also use the apron when carrying out personal care such as oral hygiene. By using this apron you can potentially prevent slipping on dropped food or spilt drinks if you hadn't been wearing the bib.
Cups & Mugs
There are many different types of cups and mugs suitable for those with limited mobility including our hand steady adult drinking cup which makes drinking from a mug easy for everyone. The hand steady drinking cup has been specifically designed for those who have limited dexterity, experienced hand pain, poor coordination, tremors or weak grip. We also have the two handled ceramic drinking mug which is ideal for anyone who suffers with hand tremors, Parkinson's, weakened grip or are visually impaired. Makes drinking hot beverages safer and also encourages independent living. The two easy to hold handles allow you to hold hot drinks with more stability resulting in no more spills. It also reduces the risk of scalding yourself whilst drinking hot drinks. If you are visually impaired it allows you to drink independently and safely. The graduated adult beaker is ideal for measuring contents or fluid intake control or recording. Our graduated adult tumbler is virtually breakable. These are extremely lightweight making them an ideal drinking aid for those who require more independence when drinking. The design allows for easier grip for those with weakened or poor grip.
Tableware
At Bayliss Mobility we also have a huge range of tableware to help make dining more enjoyable. We have a variety of products including various bowls and plates suitable for those who have difficulty during meal times. The divided plate with suction base holds the plate in place whilst eating. The shape of each section of the plate allows for easy scooping and makes food easier to eat. Because of this design, this makes it an ideal eating aid for those with the use of only one hand or limited mobility and dexterity. The edges of the plate are high to reduce the risk of spilling food when pushed towards the outer of the plate. A ideal aid to allow those with poor vision have more independence when dining. Our deep divided plate is ideal if you suffer with poor dexterity, unstable hand co-ordination, arthritis, tremors or have poor vision. Consists of three sections with high sides allowing meals to be divided into portions making it easy for the user to use. The high sides also make it easy for those who only have the use of one hand. A plate guard which is curved to prevent food from falling off the plate and can be used as a barrier to push food onto a spoon or fork. This is ideal for those that only use one hand when eating. The scoop bowl and plate is particularly useful for those with one hand, featuring a non-slip suction base and is specifically shaped on one side making it easier for you to scoop food into a spoon or onto a fork. The suction base will prevent the plate or bowl from sliding allowing the user to eat independently with ease and confidence.
