This Bariatric Evacuation Sledge is a safe way to help evacuate the less mobile in emergency situations. Use the Bariatric Evacuation Sledge for larger patients who are less mobile or bed ridden. Designed for patients who reside above ground floor level and would struggle to escape during an emergency. These Evacuation Sledges will assist in evacuating patients via stairways if elevators were shut down. The Bariatric Evacuation sledge is very similar to our Standard Evacuation Sledge.One of the benefits of this sledge is that the dual layer foam is widened to accommodate for the larger person. The dual core foam is made up of two separate specifications. The base layer being a heavy duty construction to aid patients in transit on uneven surfaces such as concrete or stairs or steps The layer surface foam is to comfort the patient during the evacuation process. The strong webbing runs the full length to aid in strength and mobility when moving a patient. Featuring safety belts and a foot pocket which holds a patient securely in place. The pulling loops at each end and a tough slippery coated bottom provide the caregiver with easy grip and swift movement. The loop at the head end is to hold back when descending stairways, which also reassures the patients being evacuated.The whole item can be stored in its 100cm wide heavy duty pouch. This can then be hung on a patients wall for easy storage and access when needed.
